About Us

Justin and I met in high school and have been married for almost 10 years.  We have two incredible daughters, Cadence who is 8 and Alayna who is 6.5.  They are both adventurous and a joy to be around, making us laugh every single day!  They love riding bikes, climbing trees, reading books, making crafts, and telling stories at night.  They are best friends and do everything together.  Cadence is a good big sister and has fun teaching Alayna new things.  She already has motherly instincts and loves playing with little kids and babies.  She loves to laugh and be funny.  Alayna is very energetic and loves to be happy.  She enjoys singing and dancing and using her imagination.  They have a heart for any kind of bug or animal and love playing outside.  We are homeschooling both of them, Cadence is in 3rd grade and Alayna is in 2nd.  We are all enjoying it very much and are truly thankful for the opportunity.

We've lived in Ohio, Utah and Florida and have finally settled down here in beautiful North Carolina.  Justin is prior Air Force and had been working as a project manager with a large construction company in Jacksonville.  We started Wrap 'n Wear (a baby carrier company) while in Florida and have since sold it and started AFV (Armed Force Veterans) Construction, which Justin is enjoying and working hard at.

The entire family is very excited about this adoption process and have been praying daily for our new child and whatever life God has for him until we meet.  The girls love little babies and always want to buy new things for "our little brother" whenever we are out.  With all that said, we are in God's hands and there is no other place that we'd rather be.

God has called us to Ethiopia:

"Ethiopia is a country beset by years of war, severe drought, and epidemics, and crippled economically and socially. One of the oldest countries in the world, Ethiopia is Africa's second most populous nation.

An estimated five million children are orphaned in Ethiopia.

Population of 74,777,981 note: estimates for this country explicitly take into account the effects of excess mortality due to AIDS; this can result in lower life expectancy, higher infant mortality and death rates, lower population and growth rates, and changes in the distribution of population by age and sex than would otherwise be expected (July 2006 est.).

Life expectancy is 52 years.

Religion consists of Muslim 45%-50%, Ethiopian Orthodox 35%-40%, animist 12%, other 3%-8%."
