While I'm Waiting

Isaiah 26:3
You will keep in perfect peace
him whose mind is steadfast,
because he trusts in You.

I've always thought of myself as a patient person, but as I am being squished, I see some truth come out.  It's hard to sit here and wait, to feel like we're doing nothing, but over the past few years I have learned that His way is always perfect and His timing is always exactly when He wants.  I need to keep reminding myself of that in the midst of waiting.  My Mom shared a song about a week ago by John Waller called While I'm Waiting and it really hit me, opening some flood gates of relief.

13 February 2010, the journey began...

Justin had been talking about adopting for quite a few months and I was never really open to the idea.  I did however want another child.  We decided to agree to disagree and continued to pray.  This one particular evening however, we prayed together and really asked God to open our hearts.  He did just that.  We felt that true peace and decided to add another child through international adoption.  As the night went on our peace became joy and excitement.  We felt like we were pregnant and wa...
